You guys remember all those goals we all set at the beginning of the year, right? Well, I’ve been working hard at mine, as I’m sure you’ve all been working hard at yours. Something I’ve started doing that has been quite effective is making sure I complete at least one writing-related task each week.
What does that mean exactly? Well, I could work on revisions, work on my query, outline something, write, read, really anything that I can relate back to my writing goals for the year.
So I have a writers conference coming up in a couple months that I’ve been thinking about. I’ve been to a few of them and they’re always a good time, but someone will inevitably ask how to find my blog, and I scramble trying to write it on something and feel like an idiot expecting them to remember it. Ha.
I was thinking about this last week, and bought myself some “calling cards” as one of my weekly writing things. I guess they’re like business cards, minus all the address stuff, which is fine by me. I don’t particularly want to hand my address out to people I don’t know. Here’s what they look like:

They even have that same kind of feel as my blog with the little splash of pink. That pleases me more than I’ll let on. lol I like them. They feel so…official.
Now, I did more than one thing last week — in fact, I outlined (a crazy five page, 2k word outline!) a whole book, started outlining two more, and I read two books. But I was most excited about the calling cards. Hehe. I’m a dork, it’s okay.
This week I’m sitting back waiting on some more beta feedback and working on those outlines some more. I’m having this issue with all these characters in my head and no plot to go with them, so yeah. Gonna try to fix that.
So, you tell me, what have you done for your writing in the last week? Any plans for this week?

I like your calling cards! I got a set before I went to a writing conference last month and they were fun to hand out and exchange with other writers.
